What's New?

Tomatoes straight from Grandpa's garden always tasted better than ones bought from the store.  They were juicier, and just plain had more flavor.  With the increasing popularity of backyard gardening many people are discovering that growing your own vegetables can be a fun and rewarding experience.  It can also produce some unmatched flavors, especially when you get into heirloom varieties of tomatoes.

Over the last couple of years we have had several requests for additional colors of Passiflora. We have been listening, and we are bringing back a beautiful Red / Burgundy Passiflora for the 2012 season!

The picture really tells the story in the case of these new lupines.  Some of these magnificent colors are brand new, and others have simply been hard to come by since their introduction just a short time ago.

We have been carrying the Fantasia Series of Zonal Geranium from Ball Horticulture for several years now.  We continue to be impressed with this series of Zonal Geranium.  The dark green foliage holds its color well, even when the conditions are not necessarily favorable.  This dark green contrasts very well with the colorful blooms and makes them stand out extremely well.

We have been growing the Lanaii series of Verbena for several years and could not be happier with the performance.  The increased disease resistant from this imrpoved variety makes them an easy plant to care for all year long.  So long as they are given enough sun exposure they are easy to keep blooming throughout the season.

We are trialing two very similar petunias this year; the Rhythm & Blues and the Violet Rim Petunia.  Each has a dark violet center, with a small white rim around each bloom.  We have planted some of each of these up into some larger combination baskets for the 2012 season, as well as into our Five Inch Potted Annual program.
