Parking & Carts

Countryside Greenhouse has 460 paved parking spots available. All of our paved spots are slightly over-sized to make parking and the loading of your precious plants into your vehicle a breeze. For those particularly busy May weekends we also have a large, gravel, overflow parking area located on the West end of our facility.

We have more than 950 heavy-duty and adjustable metal shopping carts available. Due to the enormous quantity of them and their size, they are all located outside in the parking area. Most of them are located directly in-front of the entrance.

Larger carts are available inside for customers that need to purchase in quantity; flat-bed style carts are also available in the Nursery Department for easily loading and hauling large trees and ceramic pots.

Entering the Building

As you come through the entrance you’ll notice our restrooms on the right hand side, including two family-style restrooms that include baby changing stations.

On your left hand side you will find our guest-services counter and main offices. This is a perfect place to stop for answers to any questions you may have. The guest-services counter is also where we handle all returns. Gift Cards can be purchased here or in any of our 23 check-out lanes.

You will also, likely, be able to spot at least one of the four “greenhouse cats” that live with us at Countryside at the guest-services counter as this is a favorite spot for several of them.

Into the Greenhouse

Countryside breaks the greenhouse into many different departments and categories to make finding what you are looking for much easier. As you enter, all of our Annuals will be located to your right in aisles one through twenty-seven. The aisle numbers are easy to find on the end of every bench.

Perennials will be found on your left-hand side in aisles 31 through 42. Trees, Shrubs, and Evergreens will be found beyond the Perennial Section in the “outdoor” nursery. This is also where you will find our enormous selection of ceramic pottery.

Hanging Baskets

Hanging Baskets are available throughout the greenhouse, hanging above everything else. If it is your first trip to Countryside you may want to familiarize yourself with our all aluminum basket scoops. There are several different length scoops available throughout the greenhouse to make getting hanging baskets down from their hanging locations a smooth process. If you take one down that you decide you don’t want, please feel free to leave them down as our staff comes through regularly to put them back up and getting them precisely back into their hanging location can have a bit of a learning curve.

Plant Color Coding

As you peruse through Countryside’s beautiful aisles of flowers and plants you will likely notice that all of our Hanging Baskets, Patio Planters, Small Potted Annuals, Bedding Plants, and a lot of our Perennials come with either a Yellow, Red, or Blue Tag. These tag colors indicate the best sunlight conditions for each plant; which makes it easier to find items for your growing conditions without having to read every tag.

Yellow Tags are used on items that grow best in Full to Partial Sun. Please remember that Full Sun is considered anywhere that is receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight, preferably Noon or later in the day.

Red Tags are used on items that grow best in a mixture of sun conditions. These may be items that grow well in Full Sun to Full Shade or Partial Sun. These tags do require a bit of reading to determine exactly which condition they are for.

Blue Tags are used on items that grow best in Full Shade to Partial Shade.

Other helpful tips for each plant are also available on the tags including mature size information, watering conditions, etc.

If you have questions that aren’t answered by the tag, or are having trouble finding something you are looking for, always feel free to ask any of our helpful staff members.

Checkout Process

Countryside Greenhouse utilizes check-out lanes on either side of the entrance. We have a total of 23 check-out lanes available for those peak business hours to ensure a speedy and accurate check-out process.

As you approach the lanes you will notice different color canopies above them. The lanes with green umbrellas are designated as lanes that accept Cash, Credit Cards, NFC Payments, and Gift Cards. The lanes with yellow umbrellas are designated as Credit Cards, NFC Payments, and Gift Cards only. These yellow canopied lanes cannot accept cash as they have no ability for change to be made. We do not accept checks in any of the lanes.

Located near the check-out we also have nice storage rooms for holding customer carts. While we don’t hold products so that you can come back and purchase it later, we can use these rooms to hold carts while you are continuing to shop additional carts.

Just outside of the check-out/exit doors you will notice a nice large loading zone. These spots are designated for customers to back into and load up their carts full of goodies if you don’t want to take them across the parking lot. They also work great for rainy days!

Delivery Option

If you are planning a major landscape project, bought more than you intended, or simply like the convenience, Countryside Greenhouse offers next business day delivery for all of your in-store purchases!

Simply let the cashier know at check-out that you would like to have your items delivered and they will take down the necessary information, print your confirmation paperwork, and our staff will take your products to our home delivery staging area. There we will organize them into special home delivery racks and get them prepared to load on the truck the next morning and drop off in your driveway.
